IMI President Al Keene says, “We are pleased to announce IMI’s Inkjet Age of Materials Conference 2018 on September 5-6, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Chicago-Lombard/Oak Brook in Lombard (Chicago), Illinois.

As inkjet technology has become an increasingly utilized (and often called disruptive) technology in digital manufacturing applications, annual growth rates of up to 25% CAGR are predicted. While the inkjet industry has made great strides in developing successful inks and functional fluids for many applications, continued ink and fluid developments are considered by many industry experts to be the most essential component for inkjet’s continued applications diversification and market growth – the ‘key ingredient for success.’

On IMI President Al Keene says, “We are pleased to announce the first IMI Industrial Print Academy Course – Inkjet Surface Decoration Short Course on May 6, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois in conjunction with RadTech’s UV+EB 2018 Technology Expo and Conference.”

Keene continues, “regardless of the products being decorated and personalized (packaging, glass, textiles, footware, flooring, home décor, containers, etc.), basic surface parameters, ink properties, drying/curing, print quality/durability, product handling, data handling, workflows, etc. must be evaluated and optimized for each application. This course will discuss these crucial system aspects as well as the successes and challenges of inkjet in the diverse product decoration landscape.”
